Our clients were looking to move from their existing home to a property in a desirable area of Chandlers Ford. They had seen a property they liked and were hoping to add additional space to it.

Their main wish was a snooker room built over a new double garage and an extra bedroom as the master with an en-suite.

After having discussions onsite and running through possibilities they decided to purchase and ConServ Build set about laying out plans.

We were able to achieve their wishes and more. The snooker room has a full-size table with regulation playing space around it and lighting. We integrated a home drinks bar and a cinema area which lead out onto a balcony overlooking the garden. Under this space, the double garage was placed and a separate home gym to the rear. A putting green has been incorporated into space under the balcony and overlooked by the gym.

We annexed this to the existing house by a single storey link which incorporates a study and new entrance door. An existing Conservatory was removed to allow a 2 storey addition to form the Master bedroom and en-suite. The budget allowed using some of this conservatory to adapt and redesign as an orangery with a large skylight annexed to the kitchen.

We also had to overcome reservations from the tree officer in regard to building alongside protected trees. By use of our design method for building alongside trees, we were able to overcome their objection and achieved planning permission.
